Survey Sites

Posted on Monday, June 23, 2008 by Mark

Well I was browsing around and decided to see which of the many survey sites out there actually works. Well, I have come to a conclusion.

TreasureTrooper
Well I went ahead and downloaded an auto form completer RoboForm and signed up for an account at TreasureTrooper. I did a couple of surveys, and checked my email when I found an email from TT itself. It was about 5 emails grouped together (gmail), each saying that a survey has been accepted and your account has been credited. Wow! That was pretty fast. Anyways, as of now, I have about $15 ($20 to cashout, paypal or mail).
Anyways, you guys should sign up following my referral link so I can purchase web hosting for JibJabber :).

Have fun!

Superfast Internet: 10,000 Times Faster than Broadband

Imagine a world where the internet is so fast that personal data storage units are obsolete, and HD films can be downloaded in seconds. With the switching on of the CERN particle accelerator this year, technology has taken one step closer to that reality.

Windows 7 - Touch screen successor of Windows Vista?

Posted on by Mark

Another one already?! Looks like Microsoft is releasing another operating system in 2010 called Windows 7. This operating system will be the successor of Windows Vista (probably because Vista sucks). Also, the surprising rumor is that Windows 7 will use a multi-touch screen for operation. Though I think that using a touch screen for a computer would be cool, I think it'd get pretty annoying if you're a full pledged computer user, and pretty tiring. [Link]

Download Day! (Firefox 3)

Hooray! Today is Download Day, where everyone downloads Firefox 3 to set a world record for the most downloaded application in one day. Make sure you get your copy of the new Firefox here

Edit: I heard the SpreadFireFox link only has a download link for Firefox 2 (What a stupid mistake!), the download on the main Mozilla page can be accessed here

Review: The Strangers

I watched this movie today, and I must say, it was awful. The movie started with a narrator talking in a chilling tone about how the movie is based off true events, which alone could freak you out. Unfortunately, it didn't affect me at all. Why? The storyline that the movie had no plot, no action, no nothing. The only thing that the movie did a good job of is surprising at moments where the masked killers would pop up out of no where.

I read up on the movie and found out it was based off The Keddie Murder where a mother, her son, and his friend, were stabbed to death, and the case was never solved. The Strangers had absolutely no connection to this murder, except for the fact that the murderers got away. Overall, I'd give this movie 1 out of 5 stars, but it did get pretty scary at times, so I'll give it a 1.5 out of 5.

Improv Everywhere - We Cause Scenes

This is a cool new site I discovered the other day. Basically, what these people do is they gather a large amount to people, and stage little events in public places. In this specific event, they all set their watches so that they go slow motion at the same time, and after that they freeze for a couple of minutes. This sounds like a flash mod kind of thing, and it's really funny when you watch the employee reactions. This all occurred in Home Depot. [Link]
